Maxima Maytag Washer Door Locked

Our maytag washer is displaying e01 and f09 codes.

The door lock secures the washer door shut during operation. There is a pull tab at the bottom of the door latch which will manually unlock the door. Now you can reach down in from below the top of the machine down to the door latch. Door lock can fail either mechanically or electrically.

During this period you will be able to hear the pump running. If the washer will not unlock at the end of a wash cycle unplug the washer or disconnect power. The control will not accept any input during this time. Once the washer door is closed the washer can begin operating.

Nothing else will appear to be happening with the machine during this time. How long has this been going on with your maytag washer. Is there anything that i can do to clear the codes and unlock the front load door. Run a drain and spin cycle.

Wait approximately 2 minutes for control to reset. If the door lock is defective the washer door will not latch properly. Our maytag maxima steam washer has a flashing yellow light next to door locked the door won t open and the machined cannot be turned on. If the washer has an f8 e1 error or lo fl error the door will be locked and the control will be unresponsive.

If not call for service. The door is also locked. Reconnect power to washer plug in. When using one of these cycles the door will remain locked until the cancel button is pushed.

What happened just before your maytag washer displayed this message. The door may immediately unlock. Unplug the washer then pull the top panel of the washer straight back up and off. I noticed that my maytag maxim front load washer was flashing door lock and error code f6e1 i think along with annoying chimes or buzzing.

It stopped right after it dispensed the detergent and i ve tried all of the not so helpful repair advise on the maytag website and i still can t get it unlocked. The washer will go into a hold and drain routine for 8 minutes. Pull down on this tab and then open the door. Press the power button and the washer will start a drain routine which takes approximately 8 to 10 minutes during which time the pump will run continuously.

The door should unlock after this is complete. After 8 minutes the door will unlock. Wait approximately 2 minutes for control to reset.
